Tips on How to Keep Your Sanity
Wednesday, April 15, 2020
Dear Friend,
Thanks for your efforts to keep yourselves, your families and our communities safe! I know many of you see the disproportionate suffering that some of our neighbors are going through and you are looking for additional ways to help.
If you can, make a donation to area food banks and social service groups. Many neighbors are going without food to pay their rent or other expenses. Your donation will help others and make you feel good, as well. Some suggestions are noted below.
Food Banks and Social Service Groups
Mobile Hope of Loudoun (to help track donations, please put "Senator Favola" in the donation field)
The YMCA has launched an Acts of Kindness/COVID-19 Fund. Area Ys are providing childcare services to the children of first responders, as well as blood drives and produce/meal distribution. Please support your local Y.
Lift Your Spirits
During these challenging times, it is helpful to take a break from the news and other tasks at hand. I have found joy in the music of Yiruma.
There are many other ways to unwind, as well. Below are entertainment resources that are offering virtual viewings of collections, online classes, or other activities that you can enjoy from home.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. We are in this together and we will get through this together.
