The VEA Fund for Children and Public Education today announced its recommendation of Senator Barbara Favola in Senate District 31’s Democratic Primary.
“Sen. Barbara Favola has consistently maintained a 100% voting record on issues important to the Virginia Education Association. It is important that we keep strong public education advocates like Sen. Favola in the Virginia Senate as we seek to advance and improve public education in Virginia,” said Jim Livingston, President of the Virginia Education Association.
“Sen. Favola has maintained a perfect voting record in support of public education this General Assembly session and the VEA Fund recommendation in this Democratic primary is intended to make sure we send Sen. Favola back to work for public education in the upcoming November elections.” Livingston continued. “With that in mind, The VEA Fund members are proud to recommend a champion of public education such as Sen. Barbara Favola.
The VEA Fund is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Virginia Education Association members and others. VEA does not contribute member dues dollars to support candidates.
